Chapter 35: Four More Recruits Join the Team
That evening, while at home, Lin Haoran received a call from Su Zhixue.
Su Zhixue had already contacted four fellow traders, inviting them to interview for positions with their company. The salary and benefits he offered were significantly better than what they were currently receiving.
Upon hearing the offer, all four readily agreed to attend an interview.
After all, people worked to earn a better living. When a better opportunity presented itself, there was no reason to remain loyal to their old employers.
As a result, Lin Haoran deliberately arrived at the office half an hour earlier than usual the following morning.
When he arrived, Su Zhixue was already there.
Standing beside him was another man about the same age.
This was presumably the unemployed friend Su Zhixue had mentioned.

"Mr. Dai, it's a pleasure to meet you. Zhixue has already told me a little about your background. Since you're already here, let's get straight to business and begin the interview."
Having graduated from business school himself, and after personally assisting Su Zhixue with stock trading over the past several weeks, Lin Haoran had developed a solid understanding of securities trading.
As a result, nearly all of his interview questions were technical and professionally oriented.
As for evaluating a person's character, Lin Haoran believed that such qualities could only be judged through long-term observation in both work and daily life—not through a few interview questions.
Besides, once Dai Shi officially became his employee, Lin Haoran would be able to see his loyalty score.
If it turned out to be too low, he simply wouldn't entrust him with important responsibilities.
There was no need to waste too much time on that aspect during the interview.
After it concluded, Lin Haoran was highly satisfied with Dai Shi's performance.
Like Su Zhixue, Dai Shi possessed five years of practical trading experience, making him a seasoned professional.
In today's Hong Kong, with the financial industry booming, talented finance professionals were certainly not in short supply.
"Mr. Dai, I'm quite satisfied with your qualifications."
"I believe Zhixue has already explained the compensation package to you."
"If you have no objections, let's sign the contract."
"You can officially start work today."
Lin Haoran spoke decisively.
"Certainly, Mr. Lin."
Dai Shi smiled.
"I'm looking forward to my new job."
Lin Haoran then handed him the employment contract and a confidentiality agreement, both of which had been prepared in advance.
After carefully reviewing the documents and finding no issues, Dai Shi signed both without hesitation.
At that very moment, Lin Haoran saw Dai Shi's loyalty score.

Seeing the number, Lin Haoran quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
He certainly didn't want to hire someone only to dismiss him immediately afterward.
Now he could finally relax.

"Mr. Lin, you're too kind."
Dai Shi smiled sincerely.
"From now on, you can simply call me Dai Shi—or Ah Shi."
"I'm deeply honored to have earned your recognition and this opportunity."
"I'll devote everything I have to my work and won't disappoint your expectations."
During the next ten minutes, as Su Zhixue carefully explained the company's operations, Dai Shi gradually developed a clear understanding of his new position.
He was astonished to discover that he had joined an exceptionally powerful team headed by a remarkably influential boss.
When he learned that the company could mobilize tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars for stock trading in just a single month, he was even more shocked.
Such an enormous amount of capital was far beyond the capabilities of an ordinary private investor.
Only large corporations or major financial consortiums could command resources on that scale.
At that moment, Dai Shi realized he hadn't merely secured a new job.
He had stepped onto a platform where he could truly showcase his abilities.
Silently, he congratulated himself on being fortunate enough to join this team.
He understood that opportunities like this were exceedingly rare.
He had to treasure it and devote himself wholeheartedly to the work, living up to the trust and expectations placed upon him.
As those thoughts crossed his mind, Lin Haoran noticed something surprising.
Dai Shi's loyalty score increased once again.

Soon afterward, the bell from the neighboring stock exchange rang, signaling the official opening of the day's trading session.
Inside the office, an additional telephone had already been installed.
As expected, adding a professional trader immediately increased the speed of their stock acquisitions compared to the previous day.
Although Lin Haoran had personally helped before, he was not a professional trader.
Dai Shi's arrival injected a new level of expertise and efficiency into the team.
His professional skills were every bit as good as Su Zhixue's.
Working together, the two made the entire acquisition process remarkably smooth and efficient.
During the stock market's lunch break, Su Zhixue's other three trader friends also arrived for their interviews.
The interview process was nearly identical to Dai Shi's.
Since they were all experienced professionals of roughly the same age, their abilities naturally weren't lacking.
Lin Haoran was generally satisfied with all of them.
After each signed the employment contract, he was able to see their loyalty scores.
Han Zixing: [Loyalty: 62/100]
Shi Zhensheng: [Loyalty: 61/100]
Qi Fen: [Loyalty: 62/100]
Compared to Dai Shi, the three men's loyalty scores were more than ten points lower.
That was probably because Dai Shi had recently been unemployed and therefore valued his new job much more.
The other three were still employed by their previous companies.
Naturally, they didn't feel the same urgency regarding this opportunity.
Such psychological differences were perfectly understandable and were reflected in their respective loyalty scores.
Overall, Lin Haoran was satisfied with all three.
"Gentlemen, I look forward to having you officially join our team as soon as you've completed your resignation procedures."
After the contracts were signed, Lin Haoran shook hands with each of them.
According to the three men, they would complete their resignations within the week and officially begin working here the following week.
When six people occupied the office at the same time, Lin Haoran immediately noticed a rather serious problem.
The office had become far too cramped.
Previously, when only he and Su Zhixue worked there, it had felt spacious.
Now, with four additional employees, the room simply wasn't large enough.
"Looks like it's time to move."
Lin Haoran sighed.
He had already decided that after the stock market closed that afternoon, he would begin searching for a new office.
